The Man behind the Words
Stuart Brogan is a former nightclub bouncer and unwaveringly proud Heathen who loves nothing more than expanding people's minds with Pagan-themed non-fiction or blowing their brains out with fast-paced, gut-wrenching horror/thrillers.
A Harley lover and avid movie nerd, Stuart has never followed the crowd but instead carved his own path and danced to his own tune. Since his early years, he has found escapism in both the written word and the silver screen. A massive fan of ’80s action/horror movies such as The Thing, Aliens, Predator, and Die Hard, and with literary heroes including Shaun Hutson, Clive Barker, Richard Layman and Brian Lumley, Stuart endeavours to bring an unapologetic cinematic eye to his fiction in the hopes of rekindling his childhood sense of wonder, all whilst blowing through vast amounts of ammunition at his local shooting range.
As well as self-publishing his early works, Stuart’s books have been released in paperback, on Kindle and audio by a variety of indie presses, including JEA/WetWorks and Terror Tract. Most recently, the well-respected UK-based Horrific Tales Publishing has taken the baton, publishing his latest title, the military action-horror, Wild Hunters, which has just been unleashed, much to the delight of critics and fans alike. However, never one to rest on his laurels, Stuart is already brewing more novel, novella and short story ideas guaranteed to thrill not only those already familiar with his work but new readers eager to raise their pulse rate.
Stuart currently resides in Glastonbury, UK, with his long-suffering wife and man-eating Shih-Poo, and where co-owns a kick-ass Viking/Asatru shop, fiercely named "WYRDRAVEN."
